Intern Events

During the program interns are expected to take part in a full range of extracurricular activities organised by their program coordinators and the CUPP leadership team. This program of events has, in the past, included:

• The Ukrainian Day on Parliament Hill - organized annualy by CUPP participants and attended by members of the Ukrainian-Canadian community, MPs and ministers

• Remembrance Day at the National War Memorial - on 11 November each year in remembrance of Canada's fallen servicemen 

• Vyshyvanka Day - third thursday in May each year

• The Prayer for Peace - organized annualy by CUPP participants and attended by a range of religious, civilian, and state representatives

Furthermore, interns are expected to fully participate in any meetings organised with:

• Senators and Members of the House of Commons

• Government Ministers from Canada and/or Ukraine

• Foreign and Ukrainian diplomats (including the Canadian Ambassador in Kyiv and Ukrainian Ambassador in Ottawa)

• Members of the Ukrainian-Canadian Community in Ottawa
